Annual General Meeting: Results and Confirmatory Votes

The PGSA’s Annual General Meeting has now taken place, with some useful discussion and some new faces joining our Executive membership to take the association into 2020. The following Executive was duly elected at the meeting:

• President: Elizabeth Olsen

• Vice President (Community): Sam Crawley

• Vice President (Advocacy): Miniruwani Samarakoon

• Treasurer: Bernard Tawiah

• Communications Officer: Will Stanford Abbiss (subject to confirmation)

• Outreach (Pipitea): Cody Rei-Anderson

• Outreach (Te Aro): Glen Askey (subject to confirmation)

• Executive members: Déanna Ayupova, Nancy Marquez, Salman Rashed, Michaela Harris (subject to confirmation)

The roles of Outreach (Māori) and Outreach (Taught) remain vacant, and we will look to fill these in the coming months. Please email pgsa@vuw.ac.nz if you are interested in either of these roles.

Unfortunately, we didn’t quite make the quorum required for the meeting, so there are a few matters we need to confirm with the membership. This includes the motions from the meeting, and the election of Executive members who stood for unfilled positions during the meeting. Could any PGSA member who did not attend the AGM in person therefore review the information and fill out the form below.
