PGSA Events in June

PGSA Events in June

As the government restrictions on events have now been substantially loosened, the PGSA is happy to announce that we will begin running in-person events again in June!

We have three Breakfast Social events scheduled for the coming month, one for each campus. These events will run as they always have – they’re a chance to get together with fellow postgrads, have a tea or coffee (on us!) and a catch-up as we start moving back to campus.

For contact tracing purposes, however, we ask that people sign up to attend via the Eventbrite links below. If you do not sign up online, we’ll ask you to manually sign in when you arrive. Please also follow all government guidelines on attending events, such as washing your hands and not attending if you are unwell.

If you would like to attend any of our Breakfast Socials in June, please sign up here:

Breakfast Social @ Kelburn, Milk & Honey, Fri 5th June, 9am – 10:30am

Breakfast Social @ Te Aro, Southern Cross, Fri 12th June, 9am – 10:30am

Breakfast Social @ Pipitea, Vic Books, Fri 26th June, 9am – 10:30am

In June, we will continue to run our Writing To Finish events online, every Wednesday 9am – 12:30pm. To sign up to the first of these, on Weds 3rd June, go here.

Finally, as we confirmed last week, our annual Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition will be taking place in August. There will be some changes to the format from previous years due to international COVID-19 restrictions. Details to follow soon!

We look forward to seeing you all in the weeks to come.
