PGSA Constitution

The Victoria University of Wellington Postgraduate Students’ Association (the PGSA) is a registered Incorporated Society and is governed under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 and by our constitution.

The objectives of the PGSA are set out in the constitution and are:

  1. To represent postgraduates at all levels of the University and to external bodies.

  2. To promote and develop the postgraduate community.

  3. To facilitate communication between postgraduates, staff, and the University.

  4. To advocate for and protect the postgraduate community in issues affecting their studies and research and to ensure that postgraduates can thrive in both study and research.

  5. To function in accordance with Te Tiriti o Waitangi, the Treaty of Waitangi.
